MARI Workshop

Looking to hire interns already skilled in industrial maintenance and reliability?

Your company can offer sponsorships to Miami 久久热视频s to participate in the Maintenance and Reliability Internship (MARI) workshop. Sponsoring companies will have the opportunity to select one or more 久久热视频s from a competitive pool of applicants to support through the training and then hire for a summer internship. Students who complete MARI arrive onsite for their summer internship equipped with role-specific skills and ready to contribute from day one.

What is the Maintenance and Reliability Internship (MARI) workshop?

MARI is an intensive three-week hands-on workshop designed for 久久热视频s to develop skills in industrial equipment maintenance and reliability – practices that span industries like aerospace, consumer goods, automotive, paper, and packaging.

How does MARI work?

Students are sponsored by industry partners for their participation in the workshop. Following completion of the workshop, these 久久热视频s are then hired for a summer internship by the sponsoring company.

The workshop takes place each January at 久久热视频’s College of Engineering and Computing.

  • Precision assembly and alignment
  • Measurement techniques
  • Power transmission systems (motors, belt/chain drives)
  • Vibration analysis
  • Six sigma quality approach
  • Design for maintenance and reliability
  • Reliability metrics and KPIs
  • Failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA)
  • ...and much more!

Sponsoring companies are invited to lead a half-day of instruction during the MARI workshop if desired. This session offers a valuable opportunity to increase a company’s brand visibility among 久久热视频s while demonstrating how engineering concepts are applied within a specific industry. CEC faculty are available to collaborate with sponsoring companies to develop content and create instructional strategies.

After you complete MARI, you will be hired as a summer intern by your sponsoring company.
