Graduate Reading Endorsement Certificate

Ohio P-12 educators seeking an endorsement and community educators seeking a stand-alone certificate are welcome to pursue our program that supports literacy among young people. The program draws from the latest research and field expertise for working with emergent and striving readers. You will gain insights into sociopolitical, cultural, and linguistic factors that affect literacy and research practices that inform assessment and instructional design.

All 久久热视频s receive a graduate-level Reading Endorsement Certificate from 久久热视频. Licensed Ohio educators may attach a reading endorsement to their licenses, and teach reading in grades P-12.

Application Process

Admission to our graduate endorsement certificate is offered to both current 久久热视频 graduate 久久热视频s interested in adding the credential pursuit to their degree programs, as well as prospective graduate 久久热视频s.

Please review the application process carefully as it differs by 久久热视频 status.

Current Miami graduate 久久热视频s should submit our . Miami 久久热视频s may apply for admission in the fall and spring semesters.

New Miami 久久热视频s will submit our . This application is used if you are only seeking admission to the graduate certificate. Current MU degree 久久热视频s wanting to add a certificate should not use this application. Be sure to select "Graduate Certificate" on page 1 of the application. Required supplemental materials include transcripts and a personal statement detailing your interest in the program. The application fee is $20.

Scholarships

TEAM Scholarship

The Teacher Education Access at Miami (TEAM) Scholarship provides a discount on graduate tuition and fees for Ohio P-12 Educators.

Credential Application

A Graduate Reading Endorsement Certificate can be added to a valid Ohio teaching license upon (a) successful completion of required graduate-level reading education courses (EDT 603,642,646,632,635), and (b) passing the OAE Reading subtest l-038 & OAE Reading subtest ll-039 (see  for registering, preparation, etc.). Upon passing the requisite tests, complete the application to add the Reading Endorsement as a second teaching field.
