UPDATE: “Pending delete” files to now be removed Oct. 15
In preparing for the removal of “Pending delete” files on Sept. 15, IT Services administrators discovered an unexpected Google Drive behavior. This has resulted in a small subset of the targeted Miami community not being able to see the “Pending delete” label, meaning that they would not be able to identify the documents that would be removed.
We have resolved that issue and made it so that this part of our community can now see and search for the “Pending delete” label. However, since we discovered this issue so close to the deadline, some folks may not have had the time to go through their files.
And so, out of an abundance of caution and to give all of our partners an equal opportunity to find and organize the files they need in Google Drive, we have decided to delay the first removal of “Pending delete” files. The first removal will now take place on Oct. 15. This means that you have a bit of extra time (one month) to find and organize your files!
